Squeak coming from 4 inch air cylinder or bracket?
«

I have air cylinder on my 1999 Honda Civic and I notice a squeaking sound coming from my rear right air cylinder or possibly the bracket. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what is the solution?
The intensity of the squeak varies with the ride height. I noticed round rubber circles on the top on the brackets that are on the top. Could these rubber circles be the problem? Thanks for any help.

If the squeak is coming from the cylinder, it may need to be rebuilt. If its from the brackets, there's not really much you can do outside of maybe using some rubber bushings to help, or if there are some already, grease them. The best way to probably find the source is to have a friend listen while you push up and down on that part of the car.

Thanks Matt! I will try what you have recommended. Those all seem to be great ideas. I'll keep you posted on what happens.

Matt, I sprayed the rubber bushings and the squeak went away. I'm glad it was a simple fix. Thanks for all of your help!
