66 Impala with Air Ride ??
« on: 03/02/09, 08:55 PM »

I have a 66 Impala SS convertible and am thinking about putting air under it.
I do have a couple of questions and am hoping to find someone who has done it already.

1. Did you have to cut the frames for bag clearance?

2. Do you have recommendations for bags?

3. Do you run shocks up front? (I chatted with a guy who owned a 62 Impala and he claimed to not need front shocks)

Any input on bagging a 66 Impala would be appreciated!
Thanks.

1. Yes you have to cut the frame for bag clearance.

2. you won't want to run anything bigger than a re 6 in the front. Mainly due to the fact that no matter how much you cut you can't fit a bigger bag.

3.yes you wan't to run shocks up front. Without them you wallow over bumps.

were just finishing up a 69 that you could look at. Pics will be up tomorrow. Crazy Talk Customs
